Gate to Heaven
Feature Film (2019) – Gate to Heaven marks Fish Eye Art Cultural Foundation’s third full-length feature film, a gripping drama and melodrama that bridges cultures and languages. Primarily in English, the film also features dialogue in Armenian, French, and German with English subtitles. The international cast includes Richard Sammel (Germany) and Tatiana Spivakova (France) in the leading roles, alongside Sos Janibekyan (Armenia), Naira Zakaryan (US), Leonardas Pobedonoscevas (Lithuania), Nina Kronjäger (Germany), and Benedict Freitag (Switzerland). The film premiered in Armenia on October 17, 2019, before an audience of over 600 guests, including Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, marking a milestone celebration of Armenian cinema on the global stage.
International Sales Agent – Early Spring of 2020 the team teamed up with MPM Premium International Sales of France to participate in the Gate to Heaven’s Virtual Screening of Cannes Marché du Film. MPM Premium has received numerous leads across the globe, including the US, finding interest in distribution and sales.

Set during the 2016 four-day war in Nagorno-Karabakh in the Caucasus Mountains, the story centers around Robert Sternvall (Richard Sammel), a German journalist who returns to the region to cover the armed conflict. During his journalistic investigation, Robert meets a young opera singer (Tatiana Spivakova), who happens to be the daughter of missing photojournalist Edgar Martirosyan, whom Robert had previously abandoned in captivity during the fall of the village of Talish in 1992. Robert and Sophia's frequent rendezvouses ignite a passionate romance. The film also features Sos Janibekyan, Naira Zakaryan, Leo Pobedonoscevas Benedict Freitag, Nina Kronjager, Armen Sargsyan, Aram Karakhanyan, and Elfik Zohrabyan in supporting roles.
